So why this?

Hi.

My name here is Amaltheus. I’m a 37 year old male with 4 small kids.

I am married 8 years to a woman who was a friend of mine since college.

But now our marriage is on the rocks. In fact, a few days ago, I stopped sleeping at home, and I’m now spending my nights in a rented apartment a few minutes away.

A trial separation, if you wish. To see if absence will help to make the heart grow fonder. Or something.

So this is a diary of sorts for me. Somewhere to express what I am thinking. To no-one and everyone at the same time.

I don’t know what I will write here. I doubt if it will be all doom and gloom – at least I hope not. What’s important to me right now is that it’s private. I can write things here that I couldn’t mention to people who know me well.

It’s a kind of therapy, I guess. Except a great deal cheaper.
